The Lady Forester Centre in Broseley, Shropshire is a 14 bed residential home serving Broseley and the surrounding area. We are run as a charity by a Board of trustees.

The Lady Forester Centre aims to make people feel at home. As soon as they walk through the door they are treated as family.

We offer a welcoming and safe environment to all of our residents. They are at the heart of everything we do. The home is run by a professional and compassionate team and it is our aim to make every day stimulating and enjoyable for everyone.

Residents and families have the reassurance that our home has highly trained staff who are always on hand to help as little or as much as necessary. We are dedicated to treating people as individuals, with dignity and respect ensuring they are offered flexibility and choices around the care.

We offer nutritious and delicious home cooked meals catering for individual preferences and diets. Drinks and snacks are available at all times.

Respite Care

The Lady Forester centre offers respite care of the highest quality. Respite offers family and carers a break from their care commitments. Recurring or one-off respite stays allow time for loved ones and everyone involved in their care to enjoy a break perhaps due to illness or to take a holiday and recharge. It can also help to pave the way for longer term care, helping residents to get a feel for the home.

Day Care

The aim of the Lady Forester Day Care centre is to provide care and companionship. The centre is currently open Monday, Wednesday and Thursday between the hours of 9:30 am – 3:30 pm. A home cooked meal is served using fresh produce. Participation is welcomed in a wide variety of activities (e.g. Crafts including flower arranging and card making, indoor skittles, karaoke, bingo, gardening and there are various outside entertainers that attend. The centre offers bathing and laundry facilities. Our facilities meet all relevant safety regulations.

The centre has ramp access for wheel chair users.

Visits can be arranged by hairdressers, dentists, chiropodists and opticians.

Referrals are made by social services and we also accept self referrals
